When added to a plastic or rubber, small amounts of Vor-x™ functionalized graphene can improve the material’s stiffness by nearly 10-times and can simultaneously improve its thermal stability and its chemical & environmental resistance. Vor-x is also extremely conductive, both electrically and thermally, providing anti-static properties to composites and reducing heat-build up.


Simple to process: Vor-x can be blended into plastics and elastomers using existing capital equipment, so you will not need to add capital equipment or significantly change your current process steps to incorporate the performance enhancements of graphene. Vor-x functionalized graphene’s surface chemistry can be optimized to ensure compatibility with polar and non-polar matrices alike, from polyethylene to polymethyl methacrylate.
Recyclable: Unlike many fiber or nanotube-filled composites, Vor-x plastic and elastomer formulations are easily recycled. Property degradation in Vor-x filled composites is often much less than in the neat resin systems.
Vor-tough: Vorbeck has developed Vor-tough formulations for rubber and elastomer products. Vor-tough adds strength, stiffness, conductivity and permeation barrier resistance to rubber compounds. Vorbeck offers Vor-tough masterbatches and formulations for a range of elastomer systems, including natural rubber and thermoplastic elastomers.
